  It is in fact a campsite. It is also in the middle of an industrial estate. Fall asleep to the soothing sounds of de-restricted mopeds and the occasional low pass of a Un Dassault Rafale. If one needs to get new tyres fitted or order a specific part for a construction project, you are in an arms reach. The centre of town is a brisk 50 minute walk away. Or there is the option of an Auto Bus which shaves off a whole 10 minutes, there is also the option for a bike hire from Yellow Velo which only cost a euro each way and is only 15 minutes for an able bodied guest. The on site facilities are whats to be expected. The restaurant was closed during our time there, which wasn’t mentioned at check in for some reason, but the pool was accessible. Make sure to have your tight trunks, as anything that allows blood flow is forbidden. The toilets, changing, dish washing and BBQs are all conveniently placed in the same square meterage. If one were to need the toilet, they would be able to keep an eye on their grilling Steak Hache from the cubicle. Very ergonomic. Overall: practical as a space to put something you sleep in, on. And you will get to know your neighbours in a social, dietary and bowel movement capacity. Location is something to be desired.

  Great location for La Rochelle, bit tired looking but i suppose it's the end of the season. Unfortunately the cleaner for the shower was a bit too liberal with bleach as a cleaning product and has subsequently damaged several of our clothing items.

  This is a mature site with many mature trees around, so lots of leaves etc underfoot. Particularly at the sanitary block entrance. The site would benefit from some serious pruning and tree management to provide less shade and more sunlight.
