  Relaxing hotel with suitable rooms (we use the deluxe room facing the shore). Positive is the ability to buy in the evening some wine, baguette and rilette at the reception to eat in the room oneself. Being the third time there, we found it rather puzzling to still get the very same ham and cheese at breakfast. There is so much more possible, but this rather looks odd and cheap. What really is anouying though is the speed and reliability of the Internet. I remarked on this 2 years ago, and nothing has changed. Mentioning it to the reception, they say it works perfectly for them. Sure, in the main building. But as there is only one OUTSIDE Wifi access point over the 6 rooms, this is definite not sufficient - even if your provider is with F.O. They should upgrade the Wifi for every room with an indoor AP. As also mobile coverage is very poor, using ones one mobilephone is not an alternative. ----- Update 16th November. After trying to get in contact with the owner twice via email to sort out potential misunderstandings, but withou any reaction from the owner's side, I unfortunately have to post additional comments to the reply from the owner: 1. Having a FO connection to the property does not mean that the same quality of network is available in every room. Yes there are several Wifi APs throughout the property, but they are located outside of the buildings. And seems that either they are not strong enough, not pointing into the right direction (unidirectional?) or that the building material is attentuating the signal in 2.4 GHz quite much. Sorry to say to the owner, but I am very sure, that I have a far better knowledge about wireless communications, so please spare me comments on having the "best FO access on the island". 2. I find it rather inappropriate to recommend on how I shall utilize my time during vacation. Unfortunately the weather was not, that it would have been possible to be outside every evening watching the sunset. I agree, Oleron has a lot of different possibilities - when the weather is suitable. Dear owner, you do not know why I have to attend video conferences and/or send emails as well, so please let everybody their own decisions.
