Les puits sont nombreux dans cette commune peu fournie en ruisseaux. Avant de suivre le chemin ânier , on pourra découvrir les maisons traditionnelles aux murs de pierre régulières « la Pierre de la Giraud ».

Le chemin ânier c’est surtout celui du commerce du sel mais aussi des poteries et au retour du bois de chêne du Limousin pour les futailles du vin d’Aunis.
