The Enchanted Farm Visits & Group activities in Guitinières

We are breeders and producers of ostriches and snails in Jonzac in Charente Maritime.

We started the adventure, my husband and I, in January 2019 with the purchase of a 4 hectare farm.

After years as an engineer and salesman traveling the planet, the time had come for us to put down our suitcases loaded with experience in a place that is dear to us, our region.
Desire for down to earth, agriculture, a farm, family reunification, to return to our region that we know well, for a simpler but no less intense life... this is the initial project.

After 2 years of research and more than 1 year of preparation, the project saw the light of day.

We are happy with our decision and to offer you healthy, quality products. At the enchanted farm you will find ostrich meat, terrines, rillettes and sausages as well as ostrich eggs. We also offer young, frozen and verrine Petits Gris snails.

ALL our ostrich and snail terrines are homemade recipes made with healthy products without preservatives.

But, by the way, why the enchanted farm? A nod to the magic carousel with Pollux (our ginger tom), Ambroise (our snails), Zébulon (our ostriches) and above all this magical place of 4 hectares.

For visits:  

Sale at the farm and visit by appointment from Monday to Saturday.

Visits are from March to October at the most interesting time in the life of the farm.

So you will be a spectator, of the parades, of the reproduction, of the incubation and of the birth of the ostriches. It will also be an opportunity to familiarize yourself with the emblematic Charentaise cagouille, the Petit-Gris snail.

Remember to take a small cooler during your visit.
