    • Le Canard Saintongeais is a duck farm born 28 years ago and taken over by Mr. BÂTY in 2015. Transformed into a cannery since then, the ducks are bred and force-fed traditionally as we did before the transformation. We also brought our personal touch with new products.

      Our other materials, such as vegetables, come from the Santone Farm in Saintes, produced by Mr. Manois Pierre.

      For your health, avoid eating too fatty, too sweet, too salty

    Very nice store. The only drawback is the price of a fat duck. I've been cooking fat duck for over 15 years and I've never seen a fat duck at this price. In addition, when we ask for a whole fat duck with liver, the duck is whole. At reception you will find your duck gutted with the liver vacuum-packed. No proof that the liver you have comes from your duck or even that it is French (a word to the wise). Never again for my part given the prices which are double what it is.

    Haven't tasted it yet after cooking but the thighs were very well trimmed and a good size. Glad to have discovered this breeder for quality food.
