La Grenade bleue, a charming bed and breakfast, is a small "well-being" structure, offering a swimming pool-spa in stone (schist and marble), with salt water, looking like a Roman bath, equipped with a sauna with essential oils.
La Grenade bleue was an old stone agricultural building transformed by us into a comfortable Riad that will satisfy you for a few days or a few weeks. Ideal for a few days or longer stays in Charente Maritime in the center of the small medieval town of Pons on the banks of the river, it is a little green Venice.
The water is heated to 29.30 degrees in winter and around 27 in summer.
We carried out the construction of our house ourselves, in an old cognac cellar, of which we only kept the exterior walls, developing the house around an interior patio, in Mediterranean colors. We used some eco-friendly tricks, the house has an interior wood frame and wood wool insulates the walls. We heat almost exclusively with wood.
We offer 2 luxury rooms and a suite, serving as a bridal suite, capacity: 7 people
In New Aquitaine, Charente Maritime, on the way to Saint-Jacques, between Cognac, Saintes Jonzac and the Gironde Estuary and its small ports. A10 motorway, exit 36, Pons, medieval city, its keep, its steep streets, its castle, its UNESCO-listed pilgrims' hospital, its banks of the Seugne, for a walk or a canoe ride, the castle of enigmas and its two escape-game rooms for the whole family.Ideal holidays for a small family or a couple, in summer or for a weekend, the swimming pool and spa are open and heated all year round.
The sauna is also available if the outside temperatures do not exceed 25 degrees.
