SMALL INTIMATE ROOM AND SHADED TERRACE

Located in the heart of the town of Rochefort, the restaurant Les Béatilles, run by the passionate duo Charlotte and Cédric, offers an authentic gastronomic experience. With a small welcoming room for 20 seats and a shaded outdoor terrace overlooking the street, Les Béatilles offers an intimate setting ideal for a meal as a couple or in a group. The possibility of group meals and privatization on request allows you to personalize your culinary experience.

      THE ORIGINS OF THE BEATILLES

      An elegant gastronomic definition

The term "Béatilles", always used in the plural, designates a delicate stew of offal, such as sweetbreads.

Charlotte and Cédric, after gaining seasonal work experience and exploring Australia for a year, returned to their native region to share their passion for refined home cooking.

      COMMITMENT TO LOCAL PRODUCTS

Priority to fresh and local products

Local partners, Charlotte and Cédric are committed to offering cuisine made only from fresh, seasonal products. Always looking for local products from sustainable or organic farming, the restaurant Les Béatilles works in partnership with local artisans and producers, thus reducing intermediaries as much as possible.

      REGIONAL COOKING

      On-site preparation and raw products

At the heart of the Béatilles culinary philosophy, everything is prepared on site. Fruits and vegetables are carefully peeled, cut, and cooked. The fish, whole and scaled, are leavened, portioned, and cooked. The meat is cut, portioned, and cooked. The sauces are made from meat bones and fish bones, with a homemade roux for an authentic flavor.

      SEASONAL PRODUCTS AND ECO-RESPONSIBILITY

Respect for the environment and product quality

At Béatilles, respect for the environment is a priority. This goes beyond fruits and vegetables, also encompassing fish with particular attention to breeding times and fishing methods. Preference is given to line fishing and wild fish, thus contributing to the preservation of the seabed.

Sensitive to the environment and excess packaging, the Béatilles choose products without packaging whenever possible and opt for eco-responsible solutions for cleaning products.

ROCHEFORT: A TOWN OF HISTORY AND CHARM

A strategic location near the ocean

Rochefort, ideally located a few kilometers from the ocean, offers easy access to many points of interest such as the island of Oléron, the island of Aix, the island of Madame, and La Rochelle.

Former maritime arsenal and home port of the Hermione, Rochefort is today a town labeled “City of Art and History”. Its charming city center, known for its history, will appeal to visitors.

      CONCLUSION

An invitation to discover the delights of Béatilles

The Les Béatilles restaurant embodies an authentic gastronomic experience, highlighting the freshness of local products and the passion for home cooking.

With an intimate setting, a small cozy room, a shaded terrace, and a commitment to eco-responsibility, Les Béatilles is an address of choice in Rochefort.

Let yourself be seduced by the gastronomic charm of this unique address, where each dish tells a story of flavors and authenticity.

Wow. A gem in Rochefort. The “simple” lunch menu was great! Gazpacho of the house. Ripe tomatoes, bell peppers, herby oil all in a very tastefull dish. Local “mullet noir” filets served on a delicious orzo. And a nice “tomatized” beurre blanc. Hail to the chefs! Desert was a small cake in ajar topped with mascarpone crème with strawberry coulis. Go have lunch or dinner there!

A real gem in Rochefort, everything is just perfect. Charlotte is a fantastic host, super caring making sure that everyone was happy. She explained the menu and all the ingredients to us in English, which was the first time for us during our trip in France and really made us feel home. The menu is short but there is a great variety for all tastes and most of all everything ingredient was of great quality and locally sourced. We were a group of six and ordered almost everything on the menu and everything was delicious, I personally tried all the dishes from the family and everything was great. The location is also super cute and cosy.
