    • The BOUYER family has been cultivating oysters on the Isle of Ré for five generations.

      It was in 2016 that Karine and her husband David took over the family business and created "Huîtres et ma Ré", thus perpetuating this passion for the sea and oyster farming.

      The Isle of Ré benefits from an exceptional environment for oyster farming and produces around 10,000 tonnes per year.

      Oyster farming has developed mainly on the north coast of the Île de Ré, and in particular in Rivedoux-Plage, the cradle of modern oyster farming, the town where "Huîtres et ma Ré" is located, a company which cultivates its oysters only on the Île de Ré.

      Rivedoux Bay, an exceptional site that can be discovered from the middle of the curve of the Ile de Ré bridge, with its welcoming village between two immense fine sand beaches.
